Three Steps to Carbon Offsetting

Step 1 – Carbon Footprint Calculation

As a company committed to sustainability, we take our role in achieving carbon neutrality seriously. To effectively offset our carbon emissions, we adhere to the ISO 14064 and GHG Emissions Protocol Accounting Standard—the most recognized corporate standards adopted globally.

We understand that self-assessments and online calculation tools often do not meet the rigorous standards required. Therefore, we conduct thorough audits in line with these corporate standards. This ensures that our carbon emissions calculations are not only accurate but also verified, allowing us to effectively offset our carbon footprint.

Furthermore, we recognize that customers prefer working with a credible third party to validate our carbon neutrality claims. This transparency reinforces our commitment and provides assurance to our stakeholders regarding the integrity of our environmental initiatives.

Step 2 + 3 – Carbon Offsetting + Carbon Neutral Certification

Upon calculating our carbon emissions, we offset our annual emissions through certified carbon offset projects.

All the projects we support meet the highest standards, regulated through the Verra – Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard – Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER), and United Nations – Certified Emission Reductions (CER) programmes. These are the three most prominent and regulated carbon offsetting standards used worldwide, ensuring that our measurements and the tonnes of CO₂e offset are precise and verified.

Once the offsetting process is complete, we achieve Certification as Carbon Neutral. This distinguishes us in the marketplace and reflects our proactive approach to environmental stewardship, which we proudly promote to our stakeholders.

Step 4 – Reduce Future Emissions

Upon receiving certification, we develop a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)—an essential first step in our ongoing efforts to minimize future emissions.

With a clear understanding of our carbon footprint, we establish emissions reduction targets aimed at achieving net-zero emissions. Our report also includes tailored strategies for further reducing our carbon footprint based on our largest sources of emissions.

By consistently measuring, offsetting, and committing to annual reductions, we not only maintain our Carbon Neutral status but also align with both Science Based Targets and UK Government Requirements for Carbon Reduction Planning.

In planning for the future, we strive to balance our immediate environmental impact with long-term sustainability goals.
